Heritage Audio Introduces O.H.M Amp: The World’s First Impedance Headphone-Matching Amplifier for Studios and Audiophiles.
Heritage Audio, a developer of vintage-inspired recording equipment, announces the release of the O.H.M Amp, the world’s first impedance headphone-matching amplifier, designed to optimize the performance of any headphones, from studio-grade to audiophile models. The O.H.M Amp is now available now.
The O.H.M Amp offers three high-quality input options: a balanced input via an Amphenol XLR 1/4” combo jack (IN BAL), an unbalanced gold-plated RCA input (IN UNBAL), and a Bluetooth receiver supporting APTX, APTX LL, APTX HD, AAC, and SBC codecs with a Burr Brown digital-to-analog converter (DAC). Users can switch between input sources using dedicated front-panel buttons (Bluetooth, BAL., UNB.) and optimize output impedance with the IMPEDANCE selector to match their connected headphones, ensuring peak performance.
The amplifier also features independent 6.35mm and 3.5mm headphone outputs, eliminating the need for adapters. Internally, it employs discrete diamond buffers from Heritage Audio’s R.A.M System 2000 and R.A.M System 5000 desktop monitoring systems, along with Burr Brown op-amps, chosen for their fidelity and low noise. The result is an audiophile-grade response, regardless of the headphones used.
A key highlight is the inclusion of the Alps ‘Blue Velvet’ output LEVEL potentiometer, providing precise volume control. Users can also daisy-chain multiple units via the built-in THRU outputs or use the O.H.M Amp as a high-quality Bluetooth receiver. The external 30V high-voltage, low-noise power supply ensures optimal power delivery, dynamic range, and ultra-low harmonic distortion.
Designed for flexibility, the O.H.M Amp features rubber feet for tabletop use and a 5/8” drilled hole on its bottom panel, allowing mounting on any studio microphone stand. Combining studio-grade engineering with audiophile-quality performance, the O.H.M Amp offers a versatile solution for professionals and enthusiasts alike.
