Lyngdorf Audio expands custom installation range with new DW-1 in-wall subwoofer
Lyngdorf Audio announces the launch of the DW-1, a powerful in-wall subwoofer designed specifically for discrete and custom installations. The DW-1, the first subwoofer in the Discreet series, complements the company’s successful custom installation range, offering a low-profile, space-saving solution without compromising on bass performance.
As the sixth model in the Discreet Custom Installation range, the DW-1 is a crucial link between the elegant MH and FR surface-mounted speakers and the larger BW-20 home theater subwoofers. Its compact, closed cabinet fits seamlessly into 10 cm deep cavity walls, while the optimized internal volume enables impressive bass reproduction.
Innovative design for exceptional bass performance
The DW-1 impresses with a specially developed, flat woofer design with a new voice coil and cone geometry patented for Lyngdorf Audio. The powerful high excursion 10” driver boasts a four-layer voice coil and an ultra-rigid double aluminum cone. Combined with a strong neodymium magnet and a particularly robust aluminum housing, this ensures outstanding bass performance, even at high volume levels. The wide frequency coverage ensures fast, precise bass reproduction and seamless integration into any existing audio system.
Perfect solution for living and media rooms
The DW-1 is primarily aimed at users who want to integrate subwoofers unobtrusively into living or media rooms without visible speakers dominating the room. With its paintable, magnetically attached front grille, the subwoofer can be integrated almost invisibly into the room design – ideal for home theater and media systems where space for free-standing subwoofers is limited.
Availability and Price
Production of the DW-1 will start in Denmark in October 2024. The recommended retail price is €2,799.00.
