A new Steinway Lyngdorf software update for all processors offers increased channel count support, Dolby updates, and HDCP improvements.
Steinway Lyngdorf announces the release of the latest software update, version 5.1.0, for all Lyngdorf Audio and Steinway Lyngdorf processors. This milestone signifies a substantial leap forward in the commitment to delivering exceptional audio experiences.
Elevating the audio experience
Enhanced immersion through 12-channel decoding: Acknowledging the prevalent trend of 12-channel setups, the Steinway & Sons P100 has undergone an upgrade to support 12-channel decoding instead of the original 10 native channel decoding. This improvement guarantees a more immersive audio experience, eliminating any compromise in quality.
Update for Dolby-enabled speakers: The previous XXL limitation for Dolby-enabled speakers has been eliminated. The cut-off frequency is now consistently set at 180Hz, ensuring a seamless and dynamic audio performance. Additionally, the Cue-filter has been integrated into the enabled speakers, streamlining the audio setup.
Stability in HDCP license: Rare instances of HDCP license loss in some boards have been addressed. These instances will now be reprogrammed automatically, necessitating no action from the users. This seamless update aims to maintain uninterrupted high-quality audio-visual experiences.
Enhanced dual output functionality: Issues related to the simultaneous use of TV and projector outputs, which resulted in a black screen, have been resolved. Now, users can enjoy flawless performance whether utilizing one or both outputs.
Simplified EDID handling: In the Lyngdorf MP-60 2.1 and Steinway & Sons P300 2.1 models, the EDID handling process has been streamlined. This simplification eliminates confusion, making it easier for users to manage settings effectively.
