British loudspeaker manufacturer Stratton Acoustics has expanded its Element Series with the launch of two new models, the Element 6 and Element 8.

The announcement was made during the Axpona 2025 audio show, marking the company’s move into more compact loudspeaker formats while maintaining its focus on high-end materials and handcrafted design.

The new models join the existing Element 12 and flagship Elypsis 1512 in the brand’s catalogue. Stratton describes the Element 6 and Element 8 as offering a blend of “sonic integrity and refined craftsmanship,” aimed at audiophiles looking for smaller form factors without sacrificing performance.

The Element 6 is the smaller of the two, featuring a 6-inch carbon-fibre bass/midrange driver and the company’s proprietary 29mm soft dome tweeter, which is mounted in a decoupled waveguide. The enclosure uses a reinforced polymer matrix combined with aluminium baffles, a construction the company claims minimizes resonance and coloration.

Stratton positions the Element 6 as a compact solution for nearfield or small-room listening, stating that it offers “precise imaging, wide dispersion, and exceptional musical coherence.”

The Element 8 scales up the design with an 8-inch driver and a larger cabinet volume. It maintains the same tweeter and construction approach as the Element 6 but adds a bass reflex system with flared ports and what the company describes as “dual resistive port vents,” designed to suppress unwanted resonance.

According to Stratton, the Element 8 provides “a flat frequency response, class-leading dynamics, extended bass, and maximal emotional engagement,” positioning it as a more full-range option for those seeking higher output and deeper bass extension.

Both models are accompanied by newly developed speaker stands, designed specifically for the Element Series. These stands are machined from aerospace-grade aluminium and aim to enhance both the visual and acoustic performance of the loudspeakers. Stratton claims the stands offer high rigidity and vibration control to preserve sonic detail.

As with all of the company’s offerings, the new speakers and stands are manufactured in the UK by a team of in-house artisans. Founder David Fowler stated, “The Element 6 and Element 8 are compact, yes, but uncompromising. They’re built for music lovers who want to experience the passion in music, but who also value precision engineering, as well as timeless beauty.”

The Element 6 is priced at £15,000 ($20,000 / €17,500) per pair, while the Element 8 costs £20,000 ($25,000 / €22,000) per pair. The dedicated stands are available separately at £3,500 ($5,000 / €4,500). Currently, the speakers are offered in a piano white finish with silver baffles, with additional finishes to be announced. Distribution will be handled directly by Stratton Acoustics, as well as through partners in the United States and Hong Kong.
